EVSWA Collections Staff
The Estancia Valley Solid Waste Authority’s Collection Staff operates several collection stations throughout the unincorporated areas of Torrance County. They operate to ensure environmental compliance with the NM Solid Waste Rules, Torrance County Ordinance 94-12, and EVSWA’s Policies and Procedures.
EVSWA Collections Staff - Drivers
The Estancia Valley Solid Waste Authority’s Collection Staff drivers are responsible for transporting the refuse from each collection station to our Landfill, Estancia Valley Regional Landfill. The drivers also transport containers to customers that are in the rural areas of the county for rental use. This is also to ensure environmental compliance with the NM Solid Waste Rules, Torrance County Ordinance 94-12, and EVSWA’s Policies and Procedures.

Board Members
The Estancia Valley Solid Waste Authority Board of Directors is comprised of volunteers appointed by the governing bodies of the Authority’s member entities. While board members are appointed for 2-year terms, the member entities may reappoint members as they wish. Board officers are elected at the first regular meeting of even-numbered years. The EVSWA Board is responsible for establishing operating and personnel policies, approving budgets, awarding bids, setting tipping fees for the Landfill, and hiring and supervising the Authority manager.
